I am once again running the Chicago Marathon and raising funds for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County. CASA does incredible work around the country to provide special advocates for children in the foster care system. Our personal experience has taught us that even when a particular child has loving, willing, capable individuals addressing the child's educational, physical, mental health, and other needs, it's invaluable to have a single person who has a holistic view of the child's situation and can advocate for the child in court. I am proud to match my love for running with support for children in the foster care system.
Please join me in supporting CASA of Cook County. Let me know which mile you'd like to sponsor, and what I should be thinking about during that mile. For example, Elizabeth regularly "encourages" me to RUN FASTER!!! during the last 0.2 miles of the marathon, which not everyone appreciates.
